A guarantee policy defines what a seller promises about product quality and remedies if the product fails to meet expectations.

Common formulations include "100% satisfaction guarantee," "free reprint if you're not happy," or "lifetime replacement against defects."

Policies vary widely in what they actually cover. Some cover only manufacturing defects; others cover subjective dissatisfaction; a few cover damage in transit or even customer error. Read the fine print.
