A Memorial Series for Sasha the Rescue
Three portraits, three generations — commemorating a beloved family dog across the people who loved her most.
“Sasha lived through three grandchildren. My kids asked if we could do something that wasn't just a photo. Portraits made three pieces, each in a slightly different style that fit the kid it was going to. I cannot describe what it did for our family.”
Challenge
The Okoye family wanted three memorial portraits of their senior rescue — one for each grandchild — with each piece styled for the home it would live in. Timeline: before the one-year anniversary of Sasha's passing, six weeks away.
Approach
Our design lead worked with the family over a single 30-minute call to map three preset styles onto three source photos, keeping composition and color temperature consistent so the set felt like a family even when hung far apart. We framed in a shared wood profile at three different sizes.
Outcome
All three pieces shipped two weeks ahead of deadline. Each grandchild received theirs as a surprise. The family has since commissioned a matching portrait of the new puppy.
