Build the voice of Portraits across editorial, social, and email. Own a content program that drives both brand and demand.
About Portraits
We believe most category-defining consumer brands are also, quietly, great publishers. You'd be joining as the first dedicated content hire, reporting to the founder, with a clear mandate to build a content program — editorial, social, email — that grows taste and traffic at the same time.
What you'll do
- Set the editorial voice and publish a steady cadence of on-site content (guides, essays, case studies).
- Own our social channels — primarily Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest.
- Run the customer email program in partnership with lifecycle marketing.
- Collaborate with design to ship content that looks like the product.
- Measure what's working, kill what isn't, and compound on what does.
- Build relationships with press and creators in home-decor, gifts, and design.
What you have
- 6+ years in content/editorial marketing at a consumer brand.
- A portfolio of content you're actually proud of — not just a résumé.
- Strong writer, strong editor, strong taste.
- Comfort with analytics (GA4 / Shopify / PostHog) and email tools.
- Track record of turning content into measurable business outcomes.
Compensation & benefits
Base salary: $120k–$150k (USD), depending on experience and location.
