Jordan spent six years at Etsy leading product for the home-decor category, where the single most-asked question from buyers was some version of 'can you change this one thing?' After watching hundreds of sellers hand-edit the same portrait over and over, he became convinced that generative models plus real American print production could finally make truly customized wall art feel inevitable instead of novel. Jordan founded Portraits in 2024 with the belief that personalization shouldn't mean 'pick from a dropdown' — it should mean a piece that looks like it was made for you, because it was. Outside of work he runs, collects out-of-print design books, and is slowly refinishing a 1962 Eames lounge chair he found at an estate sale.
